Features

Modular concept

Cassini is developed in a modular way. This enables us to deploy very fast special applications for your individual requirements. Aside the core functionality, following modules are already available:
  • CAD - to administer CAD data, including bills of material
  • Geospatial - to display geographic data and navigate via GPS
  • Shader - for highend rendering of material and for special effects
  • Scripting - via ECMAScript
more modules still in progress.

Simple handling

We recommend a modular structuring of your scene parts in several files, like we did with our software. Dione supports this concept on a very easy to handle basis. You just drag'n drop your modules in, connect you interfaces and ready is your new 3D-Internetpresentation.

Background

Our products are based mainly on a proprietary 3D-Scenegraph named Cassini. Dirk Schulz started 2002 the development of this scenegraph, because at this time browsing High-Quality 3D-Web content was nearly impossible on Linux Systems.

Cassini is named after the NASA spaceprobe, which is orbiting Saturn to explore it's rings and moons. The complex CAD model of that spaceprobe was also the first demo model for the scenegraph.

The moons Enceladus and Dione named our products.
